STEP 1: DO NOT Turn the cell phone on or plug it in!

Usually when your phone gets water in it, the battery will lose most or all of its power. More than likely you won't be able to turn it on. If you plug it in, it will turn on, and this is BAD. DO NOT PLUG IT IN. The water that is in the phone can cause the circuits to cross resulting in a broken phone. You have to get the phone dry before attempting to turn the phone on.
